Lysine production to commence in Russia's Tyumen region in 2015

 

 

By the end of 2015, a plant for deep processing wheat and production of lysine will become operational in Ishim, Tyumen region of Russia, in a project worth an investment of RUB 3.8 billion (US$126.37 million). 

 

The plant in the Ishim region will process 120,000 tonnes of wheat per year and lysine, which is widely used in animal feed as a supplement. In mid-February, negotiations to acquire grain storage equipment for 60,000 tonnes of grain, for storage of raw materials for the future plant were completed.
