Ukraine's February grain stocks reach 63 million tones

 
 

By early February, Ukraine's total grain supply on the local market in all categories of agricultural firms totalled 63.075 million tonnes according to the estimated supply and demand balance of grains in 2011/12 MY.

 

This report by the Ukrainian Grain Association includes grain by-products. The data was gathered from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food and the Ministry of Economic Development of Ukraine.

 

In particular, it is noted that the total supply of wheat formed the volume of 25.882 million tonnes, corn - 24.264 million tonnes, barley - 9.906 million tonnes, rye - 0.773 million tonnes, buckwheat - 0.285 million tonnes.

 

Grain for seed from the total supply forms the volume of 3.325 million tonnes, including 1.9 million tonnes of wheat, 0.2 million tonnes of corn, 1.2 million tonnes of barley, 0.09 million tonnes of rye, 0.028 million tonnes of buckwheat.

 

As of February 1, the carry-over stocks of grains totalled 9.085 million tonnes, including 6.2 million tonnes of wheat, 1.25 million tonnes of corn, 1.2 million tonnes of barley, 0.12 million tonnes of rye, 0.03 million tonnes of buckwheat.

 

In fact, in July-January of 2011/12 MY Ukraine exported 11.077 million tonnes of grains, including 2.98 million tonnes of wheat, 6.109 million tonnes of corn, 1.8 million tonnes of barley.

 

In February-June of the present MY Ukraine has to export 14.315 million tonnes of grains. In particular, wheat - 4.525 million tonnes, corn - 8.52 million tonnes, barley - 1.086 million tonnes.
