Russia's agricultural output up 2.6 percent in Jan
Russia's agricultural production rose 2.6 percent on-year to RUB71.4 billion (US$2 billion) in January, according to Prime-Tass on Thursday (Feb 19).
In a report obtained from the Federal State Statistics Service, Russia's meat and poultry output grew 7.1 percent on-year to 700,000 tonnes in January. Milk output increased 0.7 percent to 1.9 million tonnes while egg output rose 4.1 percent to 3 billion, the service said.
Production of meat and meat products increased 2.3 percent on-year in January, while dairy products output fell 3.1 percent.
