New Era Aquaculture has got a GBP300,000 (US$425,932) boost for its plans to develop export sales and manufacturing facilities for its advanced feeds and supplements for fish in aquariums.

The company in Doncaster, EU, will use the cash from Enterprise Ventures and South Yorkshire Investment Fund to refine its overseas distribution networks and expand facilities at its base in Thorne, where it will install a live fish holding facility.

New Era managing director Peter Kersh said the investment will allow the company to drive forward with expansion plans for the business in manufacturing, international brand development and a live holding facility.

Enterprise Ventures is providing GBP150,000 through the Coalfields Enterprise Fund.

South Yorkshire Investment Fund is making a GBP150,000 equity-linked investment in New Era, which formulates, manufactures and distributes innovative dietary fish feeds and supplements.
