Jensen Meat implements third-party voluntary recall
In cooperation with the USDA, Jensen Meat Company, Inc. as a 'consignee' was implementing a third-party voluntary recall, as announced by Walmart.
Jensen Meat was prompted to do the recall after Rancho Feeding Corp. advised them that raw materials used in whole or in part must be removed from commerce in accordance with USDA's Food Safety & Inspection Service (FSIS) directive 8080.1 revision 7.
According to Jensen Meat, the voluntary recall action is not related to any contamination, and there has been no report of illness associated with consumption of these products, according to USDA.
Jensen Meat has stopped all direct and indirect business relations with the material supplier in question. The company has also notified and requested the withdrawal of the affected products in 16 states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming.
