EU continues to reject Brazilian beef exporters
The EU has rejected another list of farms the Brazilian government said were eligible to export beef to the region, Brazil's O Estado de S. Paulo newspaper reported.
The EU banned Brazilian beef imports in January, citing food safety reasons.
The bloc rejected an initial list from the Brazilian government of 2,681 farms that Brazil claimed were fit to export meat. The latest list included 523 farms.
The EU will only accept a list of up to 300 farms, the paper said, adding that some of the 523 farms were kept in the list because of political pressure.
