Thailand's pork prices expected to increase as supply tightens
Domestic pork prices are expected to escalate over the next two months due to supply shortage after a recent outbreak of diarrhea.
A recent diarrhea outbreak has killed 500,000 to 600,000 piglets, and the short supply is likely to continue for the next two months, said Surachi Sutthitham, president of the Swine Raisers Association of Thailand.
In addition, an increase of farm price of pork to THB 59-61 has been approved by the Internal Trade Department last week.
