Brazil's Embrapa introduces genetically modified drought-resistant soy
Brazil's National Agricultural Research Company (Embrapa) has produced new genetically-modified drought-resistant soy.
According to Alexander Nemuceno, the head of the research of the project, there is still no date to put the product in the market as they still need a few results and studies on biosecurity.
The research is made through a partnership with some Japanese institutions. The new product would mostly benefit Southern Brazil farmers, which are more often affected by droughts.
