Australian agricultural bureau increases rapeseed yield forecast

The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (Abares) increased its projection for the 2012 rapeseed harvest from 2.495 million to 2.775 million tonnes.

The average rapeseed yield was increased to 1.63 tonnes per ha from a previously estimated 1.46.

Previously, Abares had forecast Australia's rapeseed shipments at 1.88 million tonnes.
