A group of Israeli private buyers purchased 70,000 tonnes of Black Sea grains in a tender closed on Wednesday (Feb 15).
According to European traders, the grains consist of 30,000 tonnes of feed wheat and 40,000 tonnes of corn.
The wheat was sold at about US$275-276 a tonne c&f and the corn at about US$276-277 a tonne c&f.
An unknown volume of barley was purchased at about US$280 a tonne c&f. The tender had sought 15,000 tonnes of barley. The shipment for all the grains was set at April 20-May 10.
The group also bought an unknown volume of feed products, all to be sourced from the US.
The tender had sought about 8,000 tonnes of corn gluten feed pellets, 8,000 tonnes of dried distillers' grains with solubles (DDGS), a by-product of biofuel production, and 12,000 tonnes of soymeal for April 10-30 shipment.
