Taiwan's MFIG buys 58,000 tonnes US corn from Agrex

Taiwan's Members Feed Industry Group (MFIG) bought 58,000 tonnes of US no. 2 yellow corn from trading house Agrex in a tender concluded Thursday, said a Taipei-based trader.

MFIG bought 14,455 tonnes at US$136.95 a tonne and 43,545 tonnes at 117.89 US cents per bushel over the Chicago Board of Trade's May contract.

The prices are after cost and freight.

The cargo is to be shipped March 17-31 from the US Gulf or April 1-15 from the Pacific Northwest, the trader said.
