Kazakhstan's January 2012 agricultural commodities yield falls by 4.7%
The agricultural commodities output in Kazakhstan declined by 4.7% in January 2012, reported the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The general output of commodities (services) of agriculture in January 2012 totalled KZT60278.8 million (US$406.74 million), including plant growing - KZT571.4 million (US$3.855 million), services - KZT10.5 million (US$0.07 million).
According to the Agency, as of February 1, 2012, the carry-over stocks of major grains in Kazakhstan totalled 18.98 million tonnes, including wheat - 17.5 million tonnes, barley - 955,000 tonnes, rice - 113,900 tonnes, oats - 138,900 tonnes, rye - 19,300 tonnes, corn - 36,000 tonnes.
