Russia February grain exports reach 13 million tonnes
Russia exported over 13 million tonnes of grains of harvest 2008 in early February, declared Viktor Zubkov, the First Vice-Premier of the Russian Federation, on February 10.
Taking into account grain purchased by the intervention fund of nearly 7 million tonnes, Russia withdrew over 20 million tonnes of grains from circulation on the domestic market, which will stabilise the prices for the agricultural product, he said.
