DSM appoints new General Counsel

Royal DSM announced Tuesday (Feb 14) that Cees Los, (1956), will join DSM as General Counsel and Director Legal Affairs as of April 15, reporting to Feike Sijbesma, CEO and chairman of the managing board of DSM.

Cees Los will succeed Pieter de Haan, currently DSM General Counsel and Director Legal Affairs. Pieter will step down from his position due to health reasons.

Cees, a Dutch national, has a broad international experience in Legal Affairs and has worked with several large, multinational companies, including Shell. Most recently he was General Counsel with LyondellBasell Industries.

With his vast experience as General Counsel and track record in Legal Affairs, Cees is well positioned to lead DSM's Legal Affairs department and further drive DSM's business.
