Kernel exports 1.25 million tonnes grain in H1 2010-11
Kernel Group holding, one of the major Ukrainian oil market operators, reported 1.25 million tonnes of grain exports in July-December 2010/2011 marketing year (July 2010-June 2011).
In Q4, the company exported 0.86 million tonnes of grain.
Kernel said that the indicator of export meets planned volumes for the year.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Kyiv-based Kernel Group Holding, one of the largest operators on the oil and grain market, has reported a net profit of US$49.560 million in the second quarter of 2010/2011 marketing year (July 2010- June 2011), the company reported.
The Kernel Group Holding reported a net profit of US$152.964 million in the 2009/2010 marketing year (not audited data).
The Kernel Group consists of the Poltava oil extraction plant, the Prykolotne oil extraction plant (Kharkiv region), the Vovchansk oil extraction plant (Kharkiv region), grain elevators with a combined storage capacity of 2.2 million tonnes, and agricultural enterprises with 84,500 hectares of farmlands.
Kernel Group recently acquired the Kyiv-based Allseeds Group, a major Ukrainian producer and exporter of sunflower oil.
Allseeds Group owns two oil processing plants in Kirovohrad and Mykolaiv, which have a combined capacity of more than 600,000 tonnes per year.
Allseeds Group also owns 16 storage facilities capable of simultaneously storing 600,000 tonnes and transport enterprises.
The Kernel Group's enterprises produce goods under the trademarks Schedryi Dar, Stozhar, Liubonka, and Chumak.
