MPC posts January export revenues of US$19.82 million

 

 

Minh Phu Seafood Corporation (MPC) garnered a total of US$19.82 million from January exports, up 106.23% from the same period of the previous year.

 

It exported over 1,662 tonnes of shrimp during the period, up 70.16% on-year, the firm said.

 

In 2010, MPC exported 23,119 tonnes of shrimp valued at US$247.64 million in 2010.

 

In December, MPC mobilised VND200 billion (US$10.26 million) of unsecured three-year corporate bonds in a private offering to raise funds for its units. Under the plan, it will issue the remaining VND500 billion (US$25.66 million) bonds in January, 2011, with the proceeds to be used to finance shrimp growing projects in Vung Tau and Kien Giang provinces.

 

With a registered capital of VND700 billion, MPC is now traded on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE), with a market capitalisation of VND1.988 trillion (US$102.03 million) and a 15.66% stake held by foreigners as at February 11.
