French poultry processor Duc records 5.6 percent increase in turnover

French poultry processing group Duc saw its turnover increased by 5.59 percent last year, reaching EUR 103.41 million.

Turnover for the fourth quarter reached EUR 29.08 million, a rise of nearly 30 percent on the same period in the previous year.

A company spokesman said that the rise in turnover was a recovery from the third quarter and was continuing into January this year, thanks to new commercial efforts.

Duc also announced that it has acquired a processing plant in Montmeyran in Drôme to ensure traceability of its production in southern France.

The factory was fully integrated into the company this month and now handles the poultry production in the Bourgogne region and the South of France.

The plant produces between 40,000 and 50,000 tonnes of poultry products a year.
