UK's Seafood Holdings acquires two other seafood brands

UK's Seafood Holdings Ltd acquired two of the UK's most highly regarded seafood businesses in the north west of England.

Seafood Holdings has acquired Manchester-based AW Levings Ltd and Fleetwood's C&G Neve Ltd. It currently controls Direct Seafoods Ltd and Scotprime Seafoods, Grimsby.

Additionally, the company has opened a new Direct Seafoods supply depot in Brixham, Devon in the south-west.

The latest acquisitions and new depot will extend the company's operations in the areas of Colchester, London, Milford Haven and Grimsby.

Founder and CEO Toby Baxendale said both Neves and Levings are exceptionally well run and well respected businesses and the teams who have built up the businesses and would be retained. He added that their coming on board would give  Seafood Holdings a comprehensive UK reach and offer a truly national service.

The new businesses will form part of the Direct Seafoods brand portfolio but will run under their existing business names for the immediate future.

Seafood Holdings' businesses mainly target prestige clients at hotels, restaurants and airlines.
