No new bird flu outbreaks in seven Vietnamese provinces for 20 days

Vietnam has not seen any new outbreaks of bird flu from seven of 34 infected provinces and cities in the past 20 days, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

In particular, Ha Nam province in the north and Binh Phuoc in the south have reported no new outbreaks for a month, the MARD said.

However, outbreaks of bird flu were reported in four communes of northern Hai Duong province, southern Long An province, and northern Hai Phong city on Feb. 11.

Leaders of the MARD's Veterinary Department are making inspection tours of the Red River delta provinces of Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Hai Duong and Hung Yen.
