World's largest exporter of poultry to set up office in Shanghai

Brazil's BRF SA, the world's largest exporter of poultry, has announced recently that it will be setting up a branch office in Shanghai, China. The new office will mainly be handing trade activities.

Marcos Jank, vice president of business development and corporate affairs for Asia, cited that the company is confident that Asia will experience strong growth in the next few years.

Hence, in terms of market development, the new company may also consider going into joint ventures with local companies and acquisition in the future.
