Three Migratory Birds Found With Bird Flu In Thailand
Carcasses of three migratory birds found in Nakorn Sawan, Thailand, have tested positive for the bird flu virus, Thai Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment said.
The discovery has propelled the ministry to start culling all migratory birds in bird flu infected areas, but could cover the entire country if needed.
Natual Resources and Environment minister Prapat Panyachatraksa said that the ministry will randomly examine all migratory bird population in the country and will slaughter those that are found infected with the bird flu virus. However, the culling at the moment will only take place in the areas found with bird flu.
