Large grain terminal fully commissioned in Russia

The largest grain terminal in the south region of Russia with an annual production capacity of 2.5 million tonnes was fully commissioned in Tuapse commercial seaport on Monday (Feb 8).

Russia is steadily growing its grain production volumes, according to First Vice-Premier Viktor Zubkov.

Last year, Russia harvested 97 million tonnes of grains, and in the nearest years, grain production is expected to continue increasing. Thus, Russia can increase grain production on the domestic market and increase exports.

To date, Russia's grain export capacity totals 23 million tonnes.
