Russia 2009 grain harvest seen 87 million to 96 million tonnes
Russia is likely to harvest in 2009 between 87 million and 96 million tonnes of grain compared with 105.5 million tonnes in 2008, a report published by agricultural markets analyst SovEcon said Tuesday (February 10).
SovEcon said winter grains would be planted on 17 million hectares and the expected winter grain harvest would be 42 million to 48 million tonnes.
Spring grains planted area is expected at 31 million hectares and spring grain harvest at 45 million to 48 million tonnes.
