Kazakhstan 2009-10 wheat exports seen 6 million tonnes
Kazkahstan plans to plant wheat on 13.3 million hectares for the 2009 harvest, compared with 13.6 million hectares on the year, the agriculture ministry reported Tuesday (February 10).
Its export potential in the 2009-10 marketing season is likely to remain the same as the 2008-09 marketing season at 6 million tonnes, the ministry said.
In the 2007-08 marketing year Kazakhstan exported more than 8 million tonnes of wheat.
