Russia's poultry import up slightly

Russia imported 1.287 million tonnes of poultry in 2007, an increase of 1 percent from 2006, the federal customs service reported Friday (11 February 2008).

The imported poultry was worth US$1.052 billion compared with US$921.3 million in 2006.

All the imported poultry came from countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States.
