China methionine prices flat amid light trade
Prices of methionine were unchanged during the week ending February 9.
Methionine market was quiet over the past two weeks as China celebrated Chinese New Year. Trade picked up towards end of last week but transacted volumes remained limited while prices stayed unchanged.
Liquid methionine* quotes in the general market stayed at RMB23-25/kg.
Prices of poultry products are expected to be weak in the coming weeks, hence limiting the sales of methionine.
