Seafood plant worth US$14.3 million opens in Vietnam province
Cadovimex II Seafood Import-Export and Processing JSC on Tuesday (Feb 3) launched a seafood processing plant worth US$14.3 million in southern Vietnamese province, Dong Thap.
The plant in the Sa Dec Industrial Zone in the Cuu Long, Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap is capable of processing 30,000 tonnes of seafood yearly.
The industrial zone has to date had all of its 132 hectares area leased with 43 projects totalling US$178.5 million.
Of the projects, which focus on seafood and aquaculture feed processing, 24 projects have become operational, employing 7,336 workers and posting US$121.2 million in revenue.
