ADM To Halt Rapeseed Crushing in Leer, Germany

Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) Company announced recently a decision to halt rapeseed crushing and oil refinery operation at its plant in Leer, Germany.

ADM has entered into negotiations with the works council on this matter. The facility was acquired in 1990 and produces rapeseed meal and oil.

ADM will continue its biodiesel fuel operations in Leer.

The rapeseed crushing and oil refinery in Leer, Germany is part of Oelmuhle Leer Connemann GmbH&Co.KG, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oelmuhle Hamburg AG. ADM maintains a majority ownership of Oelmuhle Hamburg AG.
