Brazil soybean export contracts doubles
Brazil's soybean export contracts more than doubled in January compared with the year earlier, the Brazilian Association of Oilseed Industries (Abiove) said.
Export contracts rose 142 percent to 4.39 million tonnes from 1.81 million tonnes over the same period last year, Abiove said in a biweekly report.
However, soybean meal contracts were down 10 percent from a year earlier. Exporters sold 1.19 million tonnes of soybean meal contracts, down from the 1.316 million tonnes sold a year earlier, the association said.
