Producers hold vitamin C price firm in China despite dwindling demand
Sales of vitamin C dwindled towards late January as feed millers who had stocked ample inventories began to prepare for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration. Nonetheless, producers were not eager to cut prices while export demand remained firm.
As of January 30, offer prices for pharmaceutical-grade vitamin C stayed at RMB27/kg.
Slow feed consumption will curtail the demand for vitamin C in the coming months.
