Vietnam sees 10.43% rise in feed output during 2011
 

 

Vietnam has seen feed output at 12.7 million tonnes in 2012, a rise of 10.43% from 2011, according to Dr Nguyen Dang Vang, Chairman of the Vietnam Animal Breeding Association.

 

He said commercial animal feed accounted for 56% of the country's total demand while output by foreign feedmillers made up 52% of the total production.

 

Joint venture companies produced 6% and domestic firms contribute the remaining 42%.

 

In 2012, the country spent US$2.46 billion on purchasing feed materials, up 3.5% on year.
