Russia's 2011 meat imports up 0.1%

The Federal Customs Service said Monday (Feb 6) that Russia's 2011 meat imports increased 0.1% to 1.279 million tonnes.

In monetary terms, meat imports rose 11.3% to US$4.607 billion.

Poultry imports fell 35.6% to 418,800 tonnes in 2011. In monetary terms, the decrease in imports was equivalent to 31.4% on the year at US$592.5 million.

Fish imports decreased 11.08% on the year to 703,700 tonnes in 2011. In monetary terms, fish imports increased 11.2% on the year to US$1.88 billion in the same period.
