India's 2007 wheat output seen at 72.5 million tonnes

India's wheat output in 2007 is expected to be at 72.5 million tonnes, up from 69.35 million tonnes the previous year, the government said Tuesday (Feb 6).

The government has revised downward the wheat output estimate for 2006 from 69.45 million tonnes estimated earlier.
