Soufflet Group and Lyven launch new ruminant feed ingredient- Bovimalt® Plus
Press Release

The Soufflet Group and its subsidiary Lyven launch Bovimalt® Plus, a new fermented ingredient dedicated to the ruminants sector.
The new solution is part of the company's precursor products of €77-million Osiris research programme running from 2008 to 2017, supported by the French OSEO agency.
The Bovimalt® Plus has been successfully tried in several applications for ruminants used at 20g per dairy cow a day such as: 10% increase of ADG on 8 months in beef cattle (Alsace, 2010), 3 % improvement of FCR for calves on 5 months (France, 2011), 3% increase of milk production on 6 weeks (France, 2010) and 5% increase of milk production on 11 weeks (France, 2011).
The Soufflet Group also sells the already available well-received fermented ingredient in the feed industry, Avimalt® Plus which is used in both poultry's and swine's corn-soy diet.
Both Avimalt® Plus and Bovimalt® Plus are produced in France by solid state fermentation in Soufflet Group's malt plant, which has been GMP + B2 certified since May 2009. The fermented malted wheat and wheat bran used in these two products are registered on the PDV positive list and are on the EU catalogue for feed materials (EU n°575/2011).
