US pork industry moves towards ID system

The US pork industry looks all set to implement the National Animal Identification System (NAIS), believes Patrick Webb, director of swine health programmes for the National Pork Board in Des Moines, US.

Pork Industry Identification Working Group and the Swine Identification Implementation Task Force met to develop standards for pork producers.
