India to tap investments to develop poultry and fishery sectors in Orissa
The Orissa government has launched a campaign to attract investments to develop the state's poultry and fishery sectors.
Industries secretary Ashok Dalwai said there was no investment proposal for the fishery and poultry sectors although Orissa had been successful in attracting investments for the mineral and power sectors.
He said the state had looked for investments for the poultry and fishery sectors, both from within the country and abroad.
Dalwai said Orissa has a geographical advantage as it is in close distance to Koriya and it offers a good market for marine products.
Official sources said the state government is keen to develop all infrastructures that are associated with the poultry and fishery sectors, such as processing and storing plants.
