China Says Egg Supply Not Restricted
China has not taken measures to restrict egg supply within the country, Jia Youling, general director on stockbreeding with the Ministry of Agriculture, said at a press conference held on Thursday.
In the bird flu infected places, the eggs, which can be infected by the highly pathogenic avian influenza, can be safely eaten after thoroughly cooked, while those in non-infected areas are totally harmless, he said.
