Corn prices mostly stable in China; falls seen in Yellow/Huai River regions (February 3, 2005)
An eFeedLink Exclusive Report
Corn prices were generally stable in China early this week. With the Spring Festival drawing nearer, trade activity was almost at a standstill in recent days.
Prices of corn in the north-eastern production regions were mostly stable, while corn prices in the southern consumptions regions remained largely unchanged due to waning demand in the market.
Meanwhile, in the Yellow / Huai River production regions, the decline in wheat prices triggered a downward course in corn prices early this week.
