South Korea's Nonghyup Feed Inc., or NOFI, bought 53,000 metric tons of South American soybean meal from trading house Bunge in private negotiations concluded late last week, according to a Seoul-based trader on Wednesday.

NOFI bought one cargo of South American soymeal at $230.95 a ton, cost and freight to South Korea June 20.

Bunge will discharge the cargo at the ports of Incheon, Kunsan and Ulsan at rates of 6,500 tons a day, 3,500 tons a day and 3,000 tons a day, respectively. Half the cargo is to be discharged at Incheon port, the trader said.
