Output expenses of vitamin B1 remained high due to strict environmental controls, which drove up raw ingredients costs. Hence, vitamin B1 producers stood firm despite slack demand amid slow feed sales.

Producers of vitamin B1 will be reluctant to lower prices. However, with feed consumption set to stay poor during February and March, the upward scope of the market will be limited.
