Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt climbs Q4 poultry meat sales by 2%

 

 

Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt raised the sale of chicken meat by 2.4% or 1,900 tonnes to 81,900 tonnes in October-December 2010, compared with the October-December quarter of 2009.

 

According to the company's preliminary data, in 2010, the chicken meat sales volume made up 331,400 tonnes, having exceeded the figure of the corresponding period of 2009 by 21.4% or 58,500 tonnes.

 

Average poultry prices in the fourth quarter of 2010 against the fourth quarter of 2009, rose by 16% to UAH14.35 (US$1.80) per kilo.

 

In 2010 over 2009, the average prices rose by 7% to UAH13.65 (US$1.72).

 

According to the report, in 2010, prices rose for all types of meat, which was conditioned by increased price for crops.

 

The consumer demand for poultry meat in 2010 remained low.

 

There also remained tendency for replacement of conventional meat with chicken.

 

In 2010, the Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt, one of Ukraine's major poultry meat producers, managed to sell all poultry meat.

 

According to the company, preliminarily, it occupied 52% stake in the poultry market in 2010.

 

As of the end of the year, production facilities for production of chicken made up 350,000-360,000 tonnes a year.

 

Earlier, in July-September, one of the largest poultry meat producers in Ukraine, Kyiv-based Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt, raised the sale of chicken meat by 5.7%, compared with the July-September quarter of 2009, to 81,000 tonnes.

 

The Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt open joint-stock company is a vertically integrated complex of enterprises that produce poultry meat, incubation eggs and fodder, breed livestock for processing, and sell ready-made products.

 

The company produces poultry meat under the Nasha Riaba trademark, semi-finished meat products under the Lehko trademark, beef delicacy under the Certified Angus trademark, and goose liver delicacy under the Foie Gras trademark.
