Taiwan Sugar Corp buys corn, soybean in tender

Taiwan Sugar Corp has bought 23,000 tonnes of corn and 12,000 tonnes of soybean, both of US origin, from trading house Marubeni at a tender concluded Thursday (Feb 1), a trader in Taipei said.

Marubeni will supply the corn at US$239.08/tonne and the soybean at US$339.56/tonne.

The shipment is expected to arrive in Taiwan March 8-22.
