Vitamin C prices stable in China amid light demand

After cutting prices during late December, vitamin C producers held prices firm during January with supplies staying tight. Nonetheless, with aqua fed output negligible and the hog population low, sales were slow throughout the month.


Vitamin C prices are likely to slide after the Chinese New Year holidays. With demand slow and export sales decimated by a firm renminbi, producers will be negotiate prices to clear stocks.
