China Piglet Weekly: Price hike fails to stimulate buying interest (week ended Jan 31, 2013)
The recent week's surge in piglet prices failed to stimulate farmers' anxiety to build inventories. Trade was light over the week, resulting in flat piglet prices. Nonetheless, breeder farms, which were making little profits, refused to budge and held prices firm.
