Spain's Pescanova's 2011 profit up 34.4%

A consolidated net profit of EUR48.8 million (US$63.8 million), up 34.4% on the year, has been earned by Spain's Pescanova in 2011.

Revenue saw a slight rise of 6.3% on-year to EUR1.664 billion (US$2.2 billion).

In 2011, the company went ahead in the expansion of its core markets, with good results in salmon, white leg shrimp and turbot aquaculture projects.
