Chile's Copeval to build lupin feed plant
In order to provide processed lupin feed to salmon producers, Compania Agropecuaria Copeval SA is building a plant at Lautaro, central Chile.
The new facility, estimated to cost about US$10 million, could commence production as early as May.
For a start, supplies of lupins will come from farmers in Malleco and Cautin. Copveal has signed contracts for 3,000 tonnes of lupins with these farmers.
