Sanovo Technology Group announces new acquisition

In order to enter the business of robots and automation on a worldwide scale, Sanovo Technology Group has recently acquired Italproject.

Italproject is a company specialised in robots and automation for end of the lane process. The company is a worldwide supplier to several industries and currently has 160 employees and a turnover of EUR24 million (US$33 million) a year.

The acquisition allows Sanovo Technology Group to maintain its position as a market leader in the egg industry and with the growing demands for end of the lane automation, there is a need to expand the existing product line (automation in grading stations, palletising on packers and de-palletising on breakers).

Significantly, the acquisition allows Sanovo Technology Group to enter the business of robots and automation on a worldwide scale. This will give the Group a platform not only in the egg industry, but the entire food industry for liquid and solid products and pharmaceutical/ chemical products.

It is anticipated that Italproject will benefit from Sanovo Technology's global organisation.
