Taiwan's MFIG buys 60,000 tonnes US corn in tender
Taiwan's Members Feed Industry Group, or MFIG, has bought 60,000 tonnes of US corn from trading house Cargill in a tender concluded Wednesday (Jan 31), a trader in Taipei said.
While 44,965 tonnes will be supplied at a premium of 149.3 US cents a bushel to the Chicago Board of Trade May contract, the remaining quantity will be sold at a flat price of US$221.50/tonne.
The shipment will reach Taiwan between March 1-15 if shipped from US Gulf or March 16-30 if shipped from Pacific Northwest.
