China's Yurun expands in the northeast
China Yurun Food Group Ltd, one of the country's largest meat processors specialising in fresh, chilled and frozen pork, has opened an operation in the northeast province of Heilongjiang.
The abattoir has a full capacity for 1.5 million pigs a year, with slaughtering lines imported from MPS of the Netherlands.
Yurun has been on an expansion trail nationwide, especially in the northeast. The company operates five modern abattoirs in northeast China and has plans of doubling its plants in this region in order to cater to neighbouring export markets like Russia, Japan and South Korea.
