Vietnam poultry guarantee with insurance policy

The Imports-Exports Transaction and Processing Company of Danang province, central Vietnam, has launched sales of 300 chickens with an insurance of VND100 million for each consumer just in case.

This is a guarantee that the company's products are free from the bird flu which is spreading in Vietnam, said its Director Nguyen Diem.

The company's packed chickens are sealed with the Veterinary Department's certificates and sold at VND36,000 per kg, an average price.

The company is preparing to sell another 5,000 such chickens during the Tet festivities, Diem said.
